Volunteers are an important part of Deer Park Elementary and in an effort to make it easier to volunteer, BCPS has made the necessary application and training process available online. This process must be completed each year. Before you can volunteer in the classroom or chaperone a field trip you must complete the steps below.
Volunteer Application Process
1. Complete the BCPS volunteer orientation by creating or logging into your Vector account.
2. Complete the online volunteer application and submit your training certificate via our Smartsheet platform.
- You will receive an email confirming your submission
- You will receive another email once the application has been approved
3. After your application is approved, keep copies of the application and training certificate. (If you are chaperoning, instead send the information to your student's teacher.)
5. Complete the Deer Park ELementary Interest Form to let us know where you would like to help out.
Please remember to bring your driver's license with you the first time you volunteer to complete your profile for the year.
