This year our students in grades kindergarten through fifth are promoting peace by creating Pinwheels for Peace. Students learned the definition for peace which is a state of calm, with no anxiety, the absence of violence and freedom from conflict and freedom from disagreement with others. They learned about symbols associated with peace and were asked what kind of things make them feel peaceful. They created pinwheels using these symbols and will display them on International Day of Peace, September 21st. Please come and see our art exhibit promoting peace! |
